Tamara Alexander-Johnson is known for her key strategic and negotiation skills and has a demonstrated history of $4 Billion of national and global real estate transactions. She is skilled in acquisitions and dispositions, real estate leasing transactions, ground-up development, strategic planning, workplace strategy, and asset management.

She is also a licensed real estate Broker in the State of Colorado, and is an Adjunct Professor at University of Denver in the Daniels College of Business teaching a graduate level course on the Essentials of Corporate Real Estate.

Her career of 28+ years spans the corporate occupier realm in which she led the transactions and strategic advisory teams at Western Union, BBVA Bank, and VF Corporation, and the Colorado State University system.

Prior to that time, she was the Director of Acquisitions with Etkin Equities (now Etkin-Johnson RE Partners), and in 1997 was the Director of Dispositons for Pacifica Holding Company to divest their entire Colorado portfolio valued at $600 MM, and was the Due Diligence Director at Archstone Communities Multi-Family REIT.

Tamara holds a Masters of Corporate Real Estate (MCR) designation and a bachelor’s degree of Business Administration from University of Denver.

What I’ve done recently:

In case you had not heard, I retired from CSU STRATA in Dec. 2023, re-engaged with my consulting company clients, and began teaching a graduate-level class in the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver.

The key take-aways for me as a mid-year summary of my life at Corporate RE Advisory Services and as D.U. Adjunct Professor:

I learned to pivot from an end-user CRE team leader to use my knowledge to enlighten younger CRE leaders-to-be with the emerging trends and challenges found in the commercial real estate profession. And I had the opportunity to take several of my students to the Rocky Mountain RE Challenge to see the DU team win the competition (see photo). I had two (2) guest speakers in my class: David Atencio with Cognizant spoke about their global real estate portfolio and their significant changes to their workplace in the Return to Work in this post Covid-19 workplace.

Due to my extensive knowledge of the real estate industry, I was sought out by attorneys to perform as an expert witness in two (2) real estate related cases. I learned to utilize my investigative and due diligence techniques to prepare valid reports on each case to be used by the attorneys in their defense of their clients.
My team and I are looking forward to working with our Clients and colleagues in the coming months!
